PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE THE FAQ FROM 2023.
THIS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED BY THE TIME TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR 2024
When will I receive my wristbands? Wristbands will be sent out to reach you on or before Tuesday 25th of April.
How do I get into the festival field? Wear your wristband: To avoid queues, you can use the narrow path from Buffalo Lane (for sure footed guests). You can also enter via the footbridge, behind the toilet block in the Disabled Car Park, or the Bowling Club gate. Both the footbridge and bowling club gate are likely to have queues as tickets will be being sold at the gate. See MAP.
Can I bring my dog? Yes, if you keep it on a lead and under control. Please ensure that your dog does not cause distress to other visitors, and obviously, please pick up after your dog.
What about drinking cups? To reduce waste, a deposit-and-exchange system will be offered by the bars. Alternatively, bring your own travel cup (no glass).
Leave nothing but footprints: Recycling points will be available around the site. Thank you for not leaving litter around the site or town.
When does it start and finish? The gate to the castle field will open to visitors at 10.30am; stalls will be open from this time, and the first music act starts at 11am. Music continues until about 6pm, but some activities may cease at 5pm, depending on demand.
What about the Procession and Battle? The procession will enter the festival via the Bowling Green gate at about 11.45am and will proceed through the Castle Field to the 'Bridge Stage', in the lower field, ready for battle to commence at noon: we recommend picking a spot on the field or slope to get a good view.
If you would prefer to follow the procession through town, it will begin from St George’s Church at 11.30am, and will come across the bridge and through town, before entering the festival, but be aware that you may have to queue at the gate.
Where can I park? Parking is operated independently by local farmers/landowners, and is not managed by Clun Greenman Festival. Parking operators will charge a small amount for parking, usually £3 – we recommend that you bring cash. Parking locations are shown on the MAP.
Can I camp at the festival? There is no camping at Clun Greenman Festival, but if you want to camp, contact our nearest campsites: Foxholes near Bishops Castle, or Wayside Camping, near Aston-on-Clun.
What else is happening during the weekend? Check out the first ever Clun GreenMan Fringe, featuring Greenman Rising, playing at Clun Memorial Hall on Saturday evening- tickets available from WeGotTickets.
